This book a was a quick read. Not in the sense of being a short book, but because it was so entertaining, it seemed like it was quick. One of those books that you are sorry to see end. I really enjoyed this book.Rick and Martha Ann's relationship was fun. It was ridiculous, funny, and sexy. There were more than a few laugh out loud moments with too many just plain humorous moments to count.
The other characters in the book were just as goofy.
If you need a fun, relaxing, light hearted, feel good book to read, this is a good one. I will definitely be buying the second book in the Mississippi McGills series.

I loved Rick McGill from bestselling author Peggy Webb's Donovans of the Delta Series. It was a treat to see him with his own story in VALLEY OF FIRE. And what a story it is! It's funny, sassy, romantic and great way to spend a weekend. The heroine, Martha Ann Riley, is simply adorable as she goes to outrageous lengths to help her sister. I don't know when I've had such fun watching two characters match wits. Don't miss this romantic comedy. It's one of the author's best!
Oh, what a tangled web we weave, when at first we set out to deceive!" I don't know who first said that, but Peggy Webb uses the concept to create a lovable pair of characters and a truly delightful story. This romantic comedy has some of the funniest scenes I've ever read. They start in Chapter One and just keep on coming. My favorite was the bedroom scene with the little surprise that just wouldn't go away. VALLEY OF FIRE is one of the reasons this author is deservedly called the Queen of Comedy! Do yourself a favor and grab this one!
I throughly enjoyed the story. It was light and funny and did not require me to think hard about what was goin on. I am working on my MSN in nursing so this was really an enjoyable read.

Peggy Webb does it again! Loved the Donovans of the Delta series and the McGills are shaping up to be a great series too.
This is a great feel good romance that had plenty of laughs in it. After reading the Donovons of the Delta series, I had to read about Rick and was not disappointed. Recommend it to anyone who loves Peggy Webb books.
